The Trainer

Warren is currently a marriage & family therapist in private practice with more than 35 years of field experience. He sees individuals, couples and families for therapy, specializing in helping clients with marital issues, loss and grief issues, those who are depressed or suicidal and in the treatment of trauma, OCD & phobia.
A much sought after counselor, trainer and clinical supervisor in Malaysia & Singapore, he also trains and provides clinical supervision for lay & professional counselors and social workers and conduct workshops on parenting, marriage enrichment, pre-marital preparation, stress & conflict management. He maintains a clientele for counseling / therapy in Singapore & Kuala Lumpur.
In Singapore his clients include Nanyang Technological University (NTU), National Institute of Education (NIE), Ministry of Education (MOE), S’pore Armed Forces (SAF), S’pore Prisons Services, Hospitals, NGOs & Family Service Centres (FSC), S’pore Sports Council. In Malaysia he has conducted training for various NGOs since 1997 incl. The Shelter, Women’s Aid Organization (WAO), Befrienders, Focus On The Family, Sau Seng Nam, UPM, UCSI University, KL Bar, Enrich Counselling Centre etc..
Over the past 35 years, Warren has had the opportunity to live & work in Hong Kong, Malaysia & Singapore. He has worked in a variety of settings & in varied capacities as a social worker, agency head, team leader, therapist, supervisor & trainer. His varied clientele included Vietnamese refugees & asylum seekers in detention centres & refugee camps in Hong Kong (UNHCR), university students & families in Malaysia, disabled children & their families, couples with marital issues, families with parenting issues etc. in Singapore & Malaysia.
He has also conducted training for NGOs in Thailand, Indonesia, the Philippines, Cambodia & Vietnam. Warren is a clinical member of the American Association for Marriage & Family Therapy (AAMFT) & the Satir Institute of the Pacific, BC, Canada. He is a certified traumatologist (US), clinical supervisor (Canada) and an authorized Taylor-Johnson Temperament Analysis (T-JTA) instructor.
He was a former Executive Director of Care Corner Family Service Centre (Toa Payoh/Queenstown), a former Senior Family Therapist with Eagles Mediation & Counselling Centre, TRANS Centre (Bt.Timah) & Rotary Family Service Centre in Singapore. He is now Director for Training for Choice Makers Consultancy & a Family Therapist with Raffles Counselling Centre (Rafffles Hospital, S’pore).
Warren is married to Sara and resides in Singapore. They have an adult son & daughter.
